Radenci lies on the right bank of the Mur on the border with Austria
in wonderfully green surroundings. It is at the edge of the Pannonian
lowlands and located midst vineyards and the water meadows of the
Mur.
Large, good quality deposits of mineral water
have influenced the development of the
settlement and made it renowned world-wide.
Legend has it that busy wood gnomes were
at work here and they came to the surface by
digging underground beneath the spring. In the
year 1869 the first clay jars were fi lled with
mineral water from Radenci and sent both to
the Imperial Court in Vienna and to the papal
residence in Rome. In 1882 the fi rst spa
guests arrived in Radenci.
Apart from mineral water and the
spa, guests will need to try out the
excellent wines around Kapela, and
of course the culinary delicacies of
the Prlekija and guage the legendary
friendliness and hospitality of the
locals. In Radenci guests are cared for
with three hearts.
